The unfortunate outbreak of COVID-19 continues to cause wide-spread anxiety and disruption globally. Although, our nation is not spared, we take solace in the blessings and peerless leadership of our Druk Gyalpo, and the measures being implemented by the Royal Government of Bhutan to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. The Bumthang Lhodrak Kharchhu Monastry and its affiliate Tshokey Dorji Foundation would like to acknowledge our boundless gratitude and appreciation to the many health workers, Dessung, and others who are in the forefront of helping our people combat the pandemic in this difficult hour of need.

In gratitude and in our solidarity at this difficult time, a sum of Ngultrum One Million (Nu. 700,000 by His Eminence Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche and Nu. 300,000 by Tshokey Dorji Foundation) was handed over to the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 26th March 2020. Pursuant to the directives of His Eminence Namkhai Nyingpo, Kurims are also being conducted in Kharchu Dratshang and its Branch/Yenlag Dratshangs to alleviate the situation. We would like to pledge our support and help in whatever possible ways.

Above all, we are grateful beyond measure to our His Majesty, the Great Dharma King for tirelessly examining the vulnerable areas of our country in person to ensure that we rise up to overcome the pandemic. By the grace of Kenchosum and the flawless virtue of pure dedication, integrity, and loyalty of our people under the wise, compassionate, and benevolent leadership of His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo, may the disease and its name vanish at the earliest.
